How to tell if a slot machine is going to hit?
Short answer: Someone is sitting in front of it.

So what do I mean by that? Slots don’t play themselves. Cheeky, yes, but also true. Slot hits are random by design and by law so no one—not even the casino or the slot manufacturer—knows when you’ll get a line hit or jackpot. If this sounds familiar, you probably have a stock portfolio.
We’ve gotten handpays on the first spin. Did we “know” that was going to happen? No, but if you somehow knew a slot wasn’t going to hit for another 100 spins, would you ever play it? Of course not.
There’s a big difference between “know” and “want”. You WANT the slot to hit and it will. It’s just that you may not be the one playing it at the time.
A quick word about firecrackers and pots
If you just started playing slots, one thing that may be confusing is why you lost even though you have full strings of firecrackers or three brimming pots of whatever.
These visual “clues” are marketing, not an indicator that a slot is about to give you a bonus. If anyone tells you something different, just read the slot rules. It’s all there in writing.
Predicting slot wins is faith-based
“Faith” is based on believing something to be true even though there’s no evidence to support it.
Slot machines are a game of chance. What that means is that you can’t become more skilled at it no matter how much you practice. That puts a lot of people off (especially men), but that’s the reality. It’s also a reality that ANYONE, even someone that’s only been playing slots for 30 seconds, has EXACTLY the same chance of winning on a slot machine.
The only thing you’re in full control of on a slot is your BET. Many people overlook this, which is why they lose all their money. Your bet and how long you play are KEY factors in winning on a slot machine.
"Smart" slot bets
Vegas slots are designed to make you lose between 2-25% of whatever you put into them IF you could play them for the entire life of the machine. In the short run (i.e., your time on the machine) you could lose 100% of your money or profit 100%.
A “smart” slot bet in our opinion is one that LIMITS YOUR LOSSES.
If you load $500 into a slot machine, the chances are higher that you’ll gamble more than you intended. We start with a $100 bill, which does two things: it limits our losses to $100 and it makes it easy to tell how much we’ve won or lost.
BENEFITS OF DOING THIS
With $100 in the machine, there’s no way we can lose more than $100.
If the credit window says $110.25, then we’re up 10.25%. If it’s $82.10, then we’re down 17.9%. Pretty easy.
Tracking your LOSSES is just as important as tracking your wins. The great thing about the 55,000 slot channels on YouTube is that you have unprecedented access to just about any slot and any bet you can think of.
On our slot channel, we provide the bet amount and the number of spins it took to get the bonus for exactly this reason.
